TOAD SPAWN PLATE
Toad Spawn is a sign that spring has arrived as toads lay their spawn in the new season, and this vessel is made in the spirit of newness, uniqueness and novelty. Its X-shaped pattern scored through the centre is mimetic of this bubbly spawn and in the linear way toads lay. Similar to H.o.G’s Frogspawn Cup (perhaps to be considered an accompanying set) our tableware is made in the spirit of difference against the status quo which itself includes the ritual of eating on our very own products: subverting the attractive look and taste of one’s food prior to consumption on the plates’ surface, to be faced with the imaginary meld of biology’s toad goo post consumption.
