Porcini Lamp

£350.00

In the half light, down near the autumnal mulchy roots of the forest bed, porcini mushrooms grow. Here, the mycelium of porcini mushrooms can exhibit weak bioluminescence and create an energy of light around it against a backdrop of still darkness. This is where House of Goblin takes its inspiration: to make mushroom lamps reflective of this bioluminescence.  Dull and soft it’s perfect as a night light. In many European cultures, mushrooms have a strong association with the magical realm. They are often connected with fairies, elves, and other mythical creatures. In particular, the image of a fairy circle—a naturally occurring ring of mushrooms—has a prominent place in European folklore.

H: 27 cm x W: 19 cm

Please be aware, all of H.O.G’s products are handmade. Therefore slight variations will be apparent between each product within its range. No two are identical as might be expected from the mass manufactured market delivered by other companies.
