GOON GUMPAS
Human have always dug this earth, for extraction, protection, burial and preservation. To hide and to reveal are synonymous components to our relationship with the earth.
Goon Gumpas is a hill and a small settlement in west Cornwall, England, UK in a former mining area. Just to the south is the mining sett (a legal arrangement used to manage the exploitation of land for the extraction of tin), of the Wheal Maid (a name for the now unused mine in the Camborne-Redruth-St Day Mining District).
Turn this cup upside down and you will reveal a miniature Goon Gumpas atop your table.
H: 6 cm x W: 11 cm
Please be aware, all of H.O.G’s products are handmade. Therefore slight variations will be apparent between each product within its range. No two are identical as might be expected from the mass manufactured market delivered by other companies.
