On opening a door to enter from one space to another, perhaps we don't usually consider its handle when turning the knob unless its design is particularly unique, or it malfunctions. In these cases, then, our attention might be subverted from our intended trajectory and alerted to the physical form that halted our flow state. We notice the detail embedded in the patina, its composite and shape. Similarly, we are in the 'flow of being' when we use cutlery or drink from a vessel unless one of these items jolts routine out of rhythm.
