House of Goblin is a ceramic company and artist collective specialising in individually hand-built, sculptural utilitarian ware with an incentive to expand how quotidian tableware and crockery can be defined. These can be considered as ornament or artwork as well as functional, everyday objects. They are made to view with your eyes, feel with your fingers, and touch with your mouth.
FAQs
What are your tableware products made from?
House Of Goblin’s products are made from a variety of clay’s: Craft Crank, Stoneware, Lava Fleck, and Buff. This mix of clay allows H.O.G to achieve the sculptural qualities it set out to create. All these clay’s fire at Cone 7/8, between 1120 - 1280 degrees.
Are all H.O.G’s ceramic tableware products food safe and dishwasher safe?
Although House Of Goblin’s products look ornamental / sculptural, these are able to be used as functional objects for food and drink. This means that H.O.G’s products always use food-safe glazes on the inside and rim of its vessels (wherever liquid or food stuffs are contained). However, in order to achieve the glaze effects on the outside of the products means that these areas are not dishwasher safe and are mostly not food safe either, so please hand-wash all products. If your product has silver or gold luster - do not microwave.
*** All of House Of Goblin’s ceramic works are handmade and although there are editions, these are still all individual handmade pieces — not industrially mass produced items — therefore variations between certain products may occur (i.e. glaze colour, handle shape, surface texture)***
